Using my large format film camera, I headed over to Snag Park to shoot some of Vail's frontside runs underneath the jagged peaks of the Gore Range. This was January of Vail's 50th season and those who know the mountain well I knew would appreciate this vantage point! Although short in length, the turns from this ridge line can sometimes be the deepest on the mountain! From the two transparencies I exposed, I chose to print one in color and the other in B+W, leaning into the nostalgia of the opening season.
