Rocky Mountain National Park, CO
Off the beaten path I wandered into an enchanted grove of aspen trees softly lit by the dappled autumn sun. A small stream of fairytale-like qualities carrying snowmelt from the soaring peaks further up the valley gurgled quietly as it cascaded from pool to pool. The place was one of layered textured and abstract forms which is what inspired me to shoot this scene. Lined up in perfect form the trunks of aspen could be reduced to their simplest expression of light and shadow.
