Cimarron Mts., Colorado
For many years the Cimarron mountains east of Ridgway, Colorado have intrigued me as a photographer. On this autumn day we had hiked to a high plateau overlooking the entire range which encompasses two 14,000 foot peaks. The weather was moody as small squalls blew in and out of view at times delivering violent but quick snow and rain showers on us. As the day drew to a close, the colors started to come alive! Parting clouds invited God beams to illuminate the valley beyond as I clicked the shutter!
