Iceland
Another arch of epic scale drew me in near the seaside town of Vik. This point complete with a lighthouse was naturally suited to its purpose and has drawn the attention of many seafaring travelers over the years. Desiring a closer look, I flew my drone out to the formation and briefly lost video transmission once inside the arch. The event created massive panic as I thought I may have lost the aircraft to the sea! Fortunately, I was able to recover transmission and resume the flight safely landing the drone at my feet just steps from the lighthouse. While I was able to get that intimate experience through my monitor, the footage was mysteriously lost and my epic flight will never be shared. Regardless, the experience left me high on adrenaline and thankful for my good fortune urging more caution in the days to come.
