It was the late 18thcentury when a young Mozart stayed in this private villa with his family for roughly a month’s stay. The young prodigy was welcomed by the city’s aristocracy and attended the annual carnival, theater, the opera and indulged in gondola rides through the canals. Near the end of their stay Mozart would even perform a concert at the age of 15, already renowned for his musical gifts, in a city of legendary status.
