To capture this shot I also crossed off a classic bucket list adventure in the Grand Canyon...hiking Rim to Rim to Rim. This epic hike descends 14.3 miles and 6,000 feet to the bottom of the canyon before crossing the Colorado River and ascending 8 Miles and 4,500 feet. This image was captured at about mile 21 during one of the most challenging and rewarding days of my life! We will hardly remember missing the last canyon shuttle that night and adding another 2.5 miles to the already long day...hardly! After recouping in the Bright Angel Lodge mending sore muscles with ice baths and espom salt soaks, we did it all over again!!
