Zion NP, Utah
Canyon maple burst with color from the backlit sunshine in Zion National Park. I had timed my visit perfectly to capture the changing colors at this elevation but the right composition was eluding me. When the sun began to lower in the afternoon sky, the quality of the light changed dramatically. It was from this low angle that I captured this scene choosing to focus on the mosaic of maple leaves to dominate the final frame.
