Garrapata State Park, CA
The Big Sur coast of California is famous for its striking scenery. Most days I had spent in this area had been virtually cloudless and I was determined to capture something more dynamic. Near Carmel, the topography in Garapata State Park is exceptional and as the first hues painted the morning sky, I had a good feeling about my choice of locations. The surf crashed into the rocky shoreline and a beautiful sky painted in pastels unfolded before my eyes.
